Make disadvantage your superpower
It’s quite easy to come up with an excuse to not do something, but what if that excuse could actually motivate you?
Let’s take an example:
What if you want to start exercising and actually do that consistently?
Well, you might think to yourself:
- I’m too busy
- I live too far from the gym
- … and endless other excuses
But you can make those excuses empowering by then saying:
- I’ll do it despite that
- Despite being busy, I exercise consistently
- Despite living too far from the gym, I exercise consistently
There are people that live right next to the gym and aren’t as busy as you but still don’t exercise at all, so therefore it’s more of an achievement on your part.
You did it even though you had an obstacle in front of you, and that is exactly why you’ll grow more from the experience than others by making disadvantage your superpower.
